EMT's Can Benefit From Understanding Current Trends in Cancer Treatment

StarTalk Radio’s Neil deGrass Tyson & Chuck Nice interview Dr. Jim (James P.) Allison about his team’s breakthrough in hacking the immune system to kill cancer cells. Specifically his work helps get the body’s own T-cells that are hacked to turn off the ‘breaks’ for the T-cells so they are prepared to deal with cancer cells. His work is approved will help treat bladder cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, kidney cancer, Hodgkins lymphoma, melanoma, Merkle-cell cancer, and cancer of any-origin with a certain molecular biomarker.
